RECYCLO — reel core stripper.
Strips the residual film, paper, foil or laminate off end-of-life reels and releases the inner core intact. The core goes back into use; the material leaves clean, in a single resin stream, ready for recycling.
Two inputs. Fully guarded. One clean cycle.
The operator clamps one or more reels on the bar and sets two values only on the touch screen — the core wall thickness and the blade feed speed. From the wall thickness the machine derives the outer diameter; the clamp measures the total length of the reel, or of the group of reels, to be cut. The blade then cuts the material lengthways and stops before the core: the material falls by gravity into the metal basket as a clean, recyclable fraction, and the core comes out intact.
CE-compliant, fully guarded. The machine is protected by patent. How RECYCLO was born →
Technical data

| Cut speed | 0.3 m/s |
| Productivity (soft plastics / aluminium) | 2,500 kg/h / 1,300 kg/h |
| Overall dimensions | 2,644 x 824 mm — plug and play, one plug, place it where you need it |
| Values set by the operator | Core wall thickness + blade feed speed (2 parameters) |
| Values detected automatically | Outer diameter, total reel or reel-group length |
| Installed power | 0.8 kW |
| Safety | CE-compliant, fully guarded |
| Patent | Protected by patent |
What it delivers
- 2,500 kg/h on soft plastics (LDPE, PP, PS); 1,300 kg/h on aluminium.
- 100% of cores recovered intact and reusable.
- Residual material clean and single-stream recyclable.
- Fully guarded — the operator never handles a blade.
What it does not do — stated openly
- Max 100 mm of wound material. Beyond 10 cm of material on the core the reel becomes too heavy and the blade struggles. This is the real constraint of the current version.
- Very hard and adhesive materials are critical. Calendered PVC and self-adhesive materials do not detach easily; the cycle relies on the material falling by gravity into the basket below.
- Metal cores: yes, with one setting. Steel or aluminium cores are fine — leave about half a millimetre of material on the core so the blade never touches the metal.
- Mixed lengths: yes. Reels of different lengths can be loaded together: the clamp groups them, the blade reads the outer surface of the widest one and starts from there, as long as the total does not exceed 1,500 mm.
A longer version for reels over 2,000 mm and a larger-diameter XL version have been planned. Contact ROLL for current availability.
